Week Five (2.22-2.26)

Image result for capitol building

This week we are going to delve into what the Congress of the United States does.  What are its responsibilities?  What are their requirements and qualifications?  What do they even do?  This information will be available on the Prezi entitled "IV. Institutions of National Government".  During the week, you will need to read Chapter 13 - Congress (found on pages 316-366 of your textbook).  Take notes and study this in addition to what we do in class.  Our class discussions will only hit on the high points.  Guided notes will be available on the Links to Docs tab for the Prezi.

Your journal entry description is available under the Links to Docs tab.  This week you will be researching the South Carolina Primary results.  This is due on Wednesday.

We will also continue with learning the different parts of the Constitution.  The Quizlet list has been updated to include the Bill of Rights (the first 10 amendments).  On Friday, you will have a quiz on the Bill of Rights AND the articles of the Constitution.  Study this quizlet on any mobile device, but also be sure to write the amendments down and add to your index card set.  Good luck!!

Monday, you will work with your groups to complete your Constitutions.  Remember to make these creative! We will hopefully get to share these today.
